In RT-PCR a primer is used to adhere to the viral RNA in the test subject.
Reverse transcriptase then creates cDNA that is magnified and detected.

I know that there is a potential problem with the PCR test but here in NZ we have used it reliably. The testing seems to accurately show when and where we have community transmission and when we do not.

I know the number of iterations can result in large false negatives but, at least here, the number of iterations must be about right. We are now nearing of passing 1 million tests of a population of 4. Some of those who have been positive have been shown to be old cases. Our case numbers are mostly low enough that we can confirm the specific strain of those we need to.

The general "the test wasn't designed to" argument is rough. Remember, Viagra wasn't designed to help create an erect penis... But that is now, and has been for years, it's primary use.

Oh, and I do believe a lot of the numbers with Covid are cooked. I also have friends that have died due to WuFlu, so there's definitely something there.

PCR tests will also give a positive reading for anyone who had it 5 months ago for example. Yet, the gov and media are selling these positives as new active infections and locking us down as infected and infectious people, when that is a blatantly fraudulent interpretation of the data.
