(OP) User ID: 79468715 United States 10/10/2020 03:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Back then it was always girls at the counter and guys in the kitchen. I used to put too much salt on the grill sometimes. People would actually complain. It's a McDonald's burger, chill out. Quoting: Hot Dog Harry So, it wasn't you with the dirty grill cloth in the burger box then? We never fooled around with the food when I was there. It might not have always been super fresh but we followed rules. Mostly high school kids and a few seniors worked there. I still have a couple pay stubs since it was my first paycheck job. $4.25 an hour... part time... no benefits except a free meal. |

It was a different era. I think my first wage there was $1.65 an hour. There were rumors that the senior people there made over $2 an hour. Last Edited by jlee2027 on 10/10/2020 04:35 PM |

Quoting: Hot Dog Harry it was no accident that these ''big stars'' where used before by big companies.. its just like another form of ''disney club'' to sell your soul.(or by their parents to sell their kid,s soul) I joined a modeling agency when I was 20 and did one truck commercial for $100. I walked around the lot pretending to be a buyer. I probably spent 10 bucks in gas to get there and I paid $700 for photo cards to be made. I only did that one commercial. Never saw it. |

Before 1964 you would have actual silver coins in your pocket. I would work for fifty cents an hour right now if it was paid in silver coins. Maybe 75 cents... depends on the going rate. |
