Get a load of this! NYC Dept. of Ed. offered me an extra $100/day to do substitute teaching

It is so bad here in NYC that they have to temp replace teachers who either are getting sick from Covid or fudging their responses to fail the health screening and not come into work!

It's bad down here and I don't think the city can sustain in-person teaching if this continues the next couple months. I already accepted an offer for another job several months ago so I can't do substitute work.

I sense the US is going to self-implode. It feels like Divine judgment is being meted out on us.
