User ID: 77042548 United States 10/12/2020 05:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is wonderful! Thank you! I have enjoyed seeing bright Mars every evening for the past month. "A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear." Marcus Tullius Cicero |

I was imagining during the time of the Odyssey the Greeks must have seen it in a similar way. Gen. John B Gordon and Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest were the finest citizen-soldiers birthed in America. |

Much thanks and appreciation for your work. Until your military service has required you neutralize enemy combatants and invaders in the defense of your country, don't presume to tell us that have defended you that you don't support every shot we fired to eliminate that enemy. |

My 3.5 year old loved seeing Mars, the Moon, Jupiter and Saturn. The autostar wouldn't powerup even with new batteries so I had to find everything by hand. When I asked my son if he wanted to see the rings around Saturn he said "the rings are from Ice Volcanos" lol. I know that's not quite right but it was still awesome and funny. I don't know where he even learned about ice volcanos. Youtube I guess :) |

My main scope captured a high magnification view of the planet's rotation, and my small refractor captured a wide angle view deliberately over-exposing Mars to reveal nearby stars. When combined you can actually see Mars rotating while it moves in its orbit relative to the background stars! Quoting: Astromut Not a star in view. So weird. |
