I've been pondering the same thing on and off for a while now.

There's at least one question to ask... Since everything IS energy First, then what force is it that causes the first atoms of creation to actually start spinning and forming it's self into molecules and atoms? Consciousness.

As above so below...

Matter is not solid. It basically boils down to little specs of energy spinning in a toroidal fashion, producing a field of energy, that has it's own unique frequency. Like atoms, at this point, attract to other like atoms, which eventually forms molecules and cells, which forms elements and everything else we consider solid matter. These atoms vibrate at a certain frequencies and for each frequency, we translate that into what we perceive as reality and solid matter, through the receiver/ transmitter mechanism call the Brain. (which is also just made up of the same thing)

So, in a very basic way of putting it, we are living in more of a virtual reality type thing. (As above so below) Natural types the 'spiritual'. We learn about the 'above' by studying the attributes of that which we consider 'below'.

The Below is just a slower vibration of what happens at a higher level.

Having said all of that, IMO, each atom has it's own consciousness. Each atom, spins into existence from the energetic focus of consciousness. Each molecule and Cell is a grouping of consciousness... or mass consciousness. (Law of attraction)

All matter, made up of atoms, grouped together called molecules, grouped together making atoms, grouped together making elements/matter.

Rocks have are a low vibration of consciousness... water, air, tree's, animals... all have varying degrees of consciousness... all the way up to humans, with a mind/brain, which has the ability and free will to change their frequency through their thoughts, actions and belief systems, thus determining what you perceive as real and solid.

Planets indeed have their own consciousness as well...we just can't fathom what that's like to experience.

Anyway, a long ramble to say I agree! Consciousness is at the base of EVERYTHING. All variations of what we call matter are just infinite levels of frequency and vibration.

It's all the same neutral energy...Consciousness decides how that energy takes form by directing the speed of the vibration, which causes it to manifest into various/infinite forms.

Source energy, for lack of a better term, is the ALL in ALL.

And if it IS the All in All, then that means that ALL that we perceive comes from the ALL. Everything. Regardless of how you believe... There's only Source...and absence of Source.

The duality. The opposites of each other. The sliding scale of Source and absence of Source are the 2 ingredients that create all known realities.

Light and dark, and everything in between, emanates from Source. How you perceive these emanations depends on your frequency.

Everything in this universe is energy, vibration, and frequency. Pure light is pure energy and pure consciousness. The cerebral spinal fluid that bathes your brain is what gives you consciousness and when your neurons fire up and synapse they create light and this light and thoughts on a quantum level manifest into reality and the material world and universe you see around you.

Certain traditions believe there is a ‘step-down’ process or condensation that occurs from the Source to our physical self.
