Re: Do You Remember your Dreams? ~
I dream in color.
I have solved problems in my sleep.
I have dreamt many outcomes with personal relationships that came true.
I have dreamt of someone i have not seen or thought of in years and then seen them the next day.
I had a dream about my grandmother and she was young, seen a picture of her the next day from when she was young and that was what she looked like in my dream. I hadn't been born yet.
Lots of weird dream shit. That stuff is mild.

Every night! Full color, all senses working. I can sometimes guide my dreams, if the direction isn't favored.

Flying or hovering are the best!

Classic lucid dreaming.

Hardly ever... I sleep deeply and uninterrupted, and rarely remember dreams.

Exactly, me too, especially the older I get.

That's why I think Dana Coverstone's dreams are BS

He needs the attention.

Thanks again everyone who voted and/or shared your experiences.

I really appreciate the openness here.

I only remember not dreaming maybe a couple nights in my life.

It's like a whole other world(s) = So many different types and experiences.

Levels of awareness.

I can feel the difference between my mind trying to work out some emotion/mental block or misperception and the ones where there is more...

But as it has been said:

"keep your visions to yourself..."

You only remember dreams when you wake up.
Dreams are notoriously difficult to recall. In fact, if a dream ends before we wake up, we will not remember it. The processes that allow us to create long-term memories largely lie dormant while we sleep, which is why most dreams are forgotten shortly after waking.

My Mrs. says I often speak out loud and argue with others when I dream.

The cool part is when I dream and speak in my sleep I speak Latin! I believe I may be arguing with entities or enemies now lost in antiquity.

I have shared a dream with another, and woke up before them to them answering me outloud while still sleeping.

Pretty cool.

I try to lucid dream at least once a week. I always remember at least one or two dreams every morning.

Re: Do You Remember your Dreams? ~
As a child, I dreamed of coffins and roses falling from the sky, as if floating. When they landed, out came aliens.

I don't really fly, I float, in the air, like it's water.

I also jump a lot, getting momentum, until I can reach a tall ceiling or tree or something. Sometimes I hide it from the players in the dream, other times I can't wait to show off.

I dream of family members at different ages. Especially if I knew them as children.

I have felt a 'demonic' presence at times. I never see anything, but I know it's 'there'.

I dream of dead people I knew, a lot. They are usually trying to teach me lessons.

Last night I dreamt of my head completely split open, with my brain exposed, right on top. I kept having to mess with it and put it back into place. It was healing and closing up just as I woke up.

I lost my leg many years ago, but the strangest recurring dream I have is that my leg is still on me, the doc didn't take it, he's lying because I SEE the damn thing, and I USE it so it must be everyone else that can't see it. I have that one all the time. Or I sewed it back on and it works good as new.

This woman in my dream actually said this was her dream to me last night. I was like huh, my dream characters have never tried to own my dream before, much less even know it was a dream.

Re: Do You Remember your Dreams? ~
I had my first lucid dream few months ago and I still haven’t forgotten it. I realized in the dream I was dreaming and I remember smelling the air and fresh mowed lawn and taking in all the sensations fully aware it was a dream. And I was more focused on colors and smells and analyzing the dream rather than doing something fun with it which pisses me off. I could have banged a super model but no. I wanna go smell cut grass. Sigh. Anyway - it still exists in my memory somehow that stuck with me. Never happened before or since. Normally my dreams are gone in seconds. I won’t even remember I had one by lunch

Nope. As a child I had terrible nightmares all the time. As an older pot smoker I can sleep like a baby. I do miss some of the good dreams I used to have, but not the nightmares.

Laying off for a week or more does bring the dreams back but not as vivid as they used to be.

That is an impressive connection.

We had a similar one in the foodie thread last week. I hadn't read it in a day and yet the day I was away four other posters, plus myself at home, and my Mrs. who was at the river all made pasta or spaghetti the same day without first sharing what our meal would be.

Six people, without communicating it, made the same meal.

I'm impressed by our abilities to dream, think the same thoughts, and to make our dreams a reality.

I remember mine. Like many have said, most memories go away soon after waking if they aren't amazing or horrific. If I do wake from a horrific dream, I have a trick to forget quickly. I visualize a white board and squeegee the whole thing a few times. It distracts me from thinking of the dream enough to remember it. Weird I know, but it works for me. lol.

Yes, I started taping my mouth at night and wearing a breathe right strip and have vivid and memorable dreams every single night now. In the past most of my most vivid dreams are in the morning when I sleep in, but now if I wake up in the middle of the night it is always with the realization of a dream being interrupted.

I dreamed a weird dream last nigh
================================
I got a job to be the comptroller.

When I went to the business is was oui in the boonies and a very old brick building... looked very filthy and cold no real furniture.
When I went in there

A man was snorting cocaine and said are you sure you want to work here. I'm going to be murdered soon.
============================================
I was in shock. I have never done drugs in my life. I worke up and it has haunted be all day.

I recall my mind thinking while I was dreaming ....
I was thinking wow, this is illegal.... what happens if he is murdered?

I don't even have one friend who has been on drugs so it was way out of my local human experience in this life time.

i don,t like them either, besides the nightmares.
when they are in a meal i always shove them to the side of my plate and/or give them to others.

i always wondered because they are fungy just like their ''brothers and sisters'' toadstools, mushrooms
its one of those natural instances that can be anything
from tasty/psychedelic/poisenous as in getting sick/straight up deadly.

Re: Do You Remember your Dreams? ~
Dreams.

Cognitive reality has a quantum wave pattern quality.

The "waking" self rejects the irrational in attempts to preserve the "ego" or self image. I am, I exist. The wave function collapses into the "self".

The dreamer sees the irrational, the collective field of intentions - the brain attempts to make sense of it. The "ego" or "self" returns to the wave function of potential., finding itself at odds, in torment struggling to hold onto the "ego".

Consciousness is a macro cognitive emergence of this realm's quantum frequency.

Yin and Yang, Order and Chaos.

For most of us, these two cognitive realities are separated. But for some unfortunate brains, the ability to decouple from the dream state doesn't occur and so they are locked in both. We call that schizophrenia.

Yes. They are so realistic I believe I have been having a conversation with my Mrs. and she'll tell me no, I had instead been asleep.

It's actually a little disquieting as it makes me wonder if some memories are dreams or visions.

Fleetwood Mac was right when Stevie Nicks sang "...I keep my visions to myself."

The best are the 'instant' dreams--where I close my eyes and in seconds I am flying miles over an unspoiled Earth, the only sentient being on the planet deciding where to place rivers, mountains, and the beginnings of man.

Then I'll go back to the dream another day and move a river a few miles to see how it makes life play out this time with that change.
