The one thing that keeps these mainstream media companies, owned by publicly traded parent companies, afloat to pay salary to staff (and appearance fees for their shill contributors/analysts) is by a legitimate revenue stream. On TV that comes from advertising buys based on expected viewership.

If network bosses care for one thing beyond appeasing their favorite Beltway buddies when they can, it’s making money and satisfying shareholders.

If there’s ultimately a change in the White House there will not be Trump to talk about daily... while keeping up with the “non-controversy nothing burgers” game, no doubt there will be further folding and/or consolidation of media sources.

NBC will kill ABC in the ratings. Neither town hall will be worth watching. ABC will not have people in the audience that will ask any relevant questions to Sleepy-Joe. NBC will have the audience full of radical libtards that will ask pointed "gotcha" questions of the President. President Trump will handle them and come out on top, but it will be him against the whole room.

All in all, ABCs viewership will counted in the dozens, and NBCs will be in the tens of millions. Big win for NBC, by booking their arch rival. When President Trump comes out of it looking like the American hero he is, NBC will catch a lot of shit from their allies in the radical left.

If the venue and participants are in NBC's hands I could see this as a very stacked deck and a rigged event.

He always manages to turn the tables on them because they're dishonest. Usually, all he has to do is point it out. Either way, it's going to be interesting.

I'll be watching Trump's on TV and watch Biden's on live stream. For Trump, we pretty well know how he will answer. But, I want to see how Slow Joe handles the questions. Biden's is also a 1/2 hour longer than Trump's.
