...WAS planning on working on an entry this weekend, BUT.....

I can't find a fucking pumpkin!!!

Walmart, all the grocery stores and other places that normally sell pumpkins each year around here...nothing. I checked every place 20-30 miles in each direction.

Only ONE place had pumpkins,a small country roadside stand..... but they thought they were selling fucking golden pumpkins full of magical faerie squirts or something....they were asking 60 fucking dollars for a size I could normally get at Walmart for 4 bucks! fuck a bunch of that!

Anyways....going to have to wait until Monday when I go to college and check out the stores over there.

are people hoarding pumpkins now?

Hard to say? My pumpkin was a late season. may not make it before the frost. Maybe others were too late growing too?

This is Saturday, so it is one week til

I had that problem last year. We ended up going to a pumpkin patch about an hour away.

Try plant nurseries. Many times they have them.

Also, a lot of times Walmart has stuff in the back that they don't bring out front for whatever reason so maybe call them.

I just used some of the pumpkin in this can to make pumpkin chiffon cake.

Gluten free means always looking for ways to lighten the cake - chiffons use beaten egg whites folded in.

let's hope they turn out. I hate recipes.
