Is being a good person, accepting Jesus as one's savior good enough for God on judgement day? Jo3:16
Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the Kingdom of the heavens, but only the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. 22Many will say to me in that day: ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them: ‘I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness!’
24“Therefore, everyone who hears these sayings of mine and does them will be like a discreet man who built his house on the rock. 25And the rain poured down and the floods came and the winds blew and lashed against that house, but it did not cave in, for it had been founded on the rock. 26Furthermore, everyone hearing these sayings of mine and not doing them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27And the rain poured down and the floods came and the winds blew and struck against that house, and it caved in, and its collapse was great.” Mt7:21

And if someone is the best person possible but never heard about Jesus, would that be enough?

God judges the hearts of man.
The thing is that you have heard about Jesus. What are you gonna do about it?

As for a “good person” no. One must be saved through faith. The thief on the cross was saved minutes before his death.

You need to allow God into your heart through faith in Jesus.

God will change your heart and you will be 'born again' spiritually .

John 14:23

Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.

Accept Jesus into your heart, let God transform you
 Quoting: Petrus

There's no passing the buck here.
Therefore, I appeal to you by the compassions of God, brothers, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, a sacred service with your power of reason. 2 And stop being molded by this system of things, but be transformed by making your mind over, so that you may prove to yourselves the good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Grace and faith open the divine opportunity, individuals must take Christ's yoke to develop his qualities;

For this very reason, put forth all earnest effort to supply to your faith virtue, to your virtue knowledge, 6to your knowledge self-control, to your self-control endurance, to your endurance godly devotion, 7 to your godly devotion brotherly affection, to your brotherly affection love. 8For if these things exist in you and overflow, they will prevent you from being either inactive or unfruitful regarding the accurate knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 2Pe1:5

It obviously is your concern.

So...what in your own words qualifies one as a diciple?

Why is this so hard for you?

Has the cult removed your ability to think your own words?

Since this seems like a Bible study, I want to ask a question to those who study the Bible.

What exactly does Jesus talk about in Matthew 28:20?

The King James interpretation of the original text changed the meaning of the verse and it is meant to say "end of an age". Is Jesus telling us that he will return at the end of Pisces moving into Aquarius, or now?
Revelation 7

3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

The end is near, are you prepared?

Re: Is being a good person, accepting Jesus as one's savior good enough for God on judgement day? Jo3:16
OP,

I really really doubt you can hope your afterlife away into a heaven. You have an entire lifetime. Do you think you can live a lifetime and expect anothre lifetime with no consequences? If that were the case and there would be no reason for reincarnations, just a 1 poop shoot, humanity would eventually crumble and find no reason for existence other than look out for #1 and we'd turn into the man-made hell.

That's exactly what this world is.
But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5having an appearance of godliness but proving false to its power; and from these turn away. 6 From among these arise men who slyly work their way into households and captivate weak women loaded down with sins, led by various desires, 7always learning and yet never able to come to an accurate knowledge of truth.

I take it your elders were busy then?

Ask them not my concern.

YOU are the one who brought up the subject.

It obviously is your concern.

So...what in your own words qualifies one as a diciple?

Why is this so hard for you?

Has the cult removed your ability to think your own words?

If you consider this a one paragraph explanation, rather than a hour long study article, you explain it.

Its your thread and you are the expert.

And if someone is the best person possible but never heard about Jesus, would that be enough?

To qualify for baptism in Jehovah's Christian organization takes a minimum of one - two years bible study and participation in publicly proclaiming his divine invitation. John3:16 is only the first sentence. BTW I commend your inquiry.
