I am surprised I'm not seeing this here so here it is.

This fire has been burning for 2 months. It's now the single largest fire in state history at 174,000 acres and growing.

It is affecting very historic locations such as Rocky Mountain National Park, CSU mountain campus, Pingree Park, Masonville, Estes Park, Glen Haven, Drake, Devils Backbone, Horsetooth, Palisade, Round Mountain...

It is breaking over the mountains and working its way down into west Loveland and Fort Collins as well as west toward Estes Park. These are highly populated areas and with wind in the forecast reaching gusts of 80mph+, i feel like we haven't seen anything yet.

I actually live in one of these areas. I'll let you know if i am evacuating and I'll see if i can provide pictures.

The pressure is changing so rapidly here it's affecting my hearing. I'm setting several alarms to try to get a nap in.

We're ready to go. We were 2 days ago when people were saying it wouldn't hit here.

Many friends are losing homes right now and hopefully no more than that.

Please say a prayer!

Good luck, and prayers to you all.

I have spent a lot of time, over many years, in that part of Colorado. Seems like yesterday that you guys were recovering from the flood. Ate many lunches and cold beer in the little joint at the junction in Drake, stayed in a cabin for several summers in Glen Haven, and many more summers in Estes Park.

One of my favorite areas on earth, and I hope it comes through OK.

I've been through disasters, but never like this. It's never hit so close to home.

We have seen much of this beautiful state. You start to fall in love with these areas and regular them. The pandemic has limited a lot this year and now this... This is destroying habitats, hunting and fishing, history, homes, beauty, fun...

Heavy heart. Very very heavy. I'm not in cry mode right now but it's hard.

I can hear it. It's creating a sound like a trumpet and camp fire... Winds are about to blow up.
