My heart goes out to you all. I just lived through one of the worst fire season in NorCal human history. The fires started on August 8th after a huge wind and dry lightning storm. There was huge fires all around me some 60+ small lightning fires became 7 huge fires. They burned hard for two weeks and then there was some relief. One of the fires that started on Aug 8th is still burning in Mendocino county it is much smaller but still burning. The Sonoma Napa area had two huge fires in two months. The wind is the killer. Wind driven fire can not be stopped by humans. No fire break will stop flying embers carried by the angry wind.
