Damn you guys are pathetic. Let's blame everything on the liberals. Jesus.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77010203

The enviro-wackjobs refuse to allow proper forest management, to include controlled burns and clearance of underbrush so that when you DO get these fire conditions, it is not nearly as deadly and devastating. They take over these states and then mismanage things that make natural disasters 1000 times worse than they SHOULD be, and you want to whine about liberals being blamed? TOO FUCKING BAD. It IS their fault!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 78363501

Yup. Absolutely pathetic.

Approximately 65% of Colorado's forests are in federal ownership. That means, this land is outside the state's authority. But let me spell it out for you. This actually falls on Trump, a Republican.

Second, it is drier, hotter climates, combined with strong winds that make these fires exponentially devastating. We are in uncharted territory and because of that, there is no telling how much reducing flammable materials in forests would actually help to stop the flames from spreading. It is the hot ambers carried by the strong winds that are the culprit.

"It IS their fault!"

Please provide evidence, and stop being such a damn snowflake. Using the liberals to scapegoat everything is seriously fucken pathetic.

Yeah thats right blame the guy who is responsible for 50 states and his home base is in Washington DC. He even did mention that forests should be cleared of dead fall and scrub that leads to crown fires. Do you remember what people just like you said. No.... they made fun of him saying he suggested raking the forests to reduce fire risk. But yeah blame a guy who has been in charge for less that 4 years but forget there is a Governor or how about those high paid government executives that are responsible for the Forestry service or the Bureau of land management or the National park service. You know the guys whose job is to manage those very forests on fire. But you keep blaming Trump . You know what you are poop

Smoke fills the skies in the Denver/Boulder areas. These are from my house NE of Denver. My phone camera doesn’t capture how orange this is. The one one it’s side shows blue skies and then the smoke.
From the Camron Peak and new one west of Boulder the East Troublesome.

I feel so sorry for the billions of animals and so many people that are killed in these damn fires. They are truly hell on earth. I spent some years living in SoCal and saw enough. I hope I never see another wildfire again.

God bless to any of you going through this. Please be extremely careful and ready to GTFO. Don't wait too long! Check neighbors to see if anyone needs transportation for themselves or their animals.

Here's video, from a GLP member, of his escape from the Camp Fire in Paradise:

In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined:

With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world,
And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor.
Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world
And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator.

As you look out into the forest it is riddled with beetle kill pines... its really not surprising that this is happening. Forrest service didn't want to burn the infected areas when it started... now the whole thing is ready to go. Circle of life... fire kills the beetles... and trees come back again.

Yeah it will all end eventually.

Until then this is going to be mega doom.

Estes Park is a huge historic and tourist destination and RMNP is a natural wonder. Loveland and Fort Collins have some of the largest populations behind Denver and Boulder. This is terrible!

A few friends of mine will lose so much! Luckily everyone got their horses and animals out!

ages ago an elderly woman I knew sold her cabin in Arden, Delaware to move to Fort Collins.

She had chopped her own wood into her eighties.

Arden is a single tax community. Attracts all kinds of people. Absolutely cut off from the rules of the world in many ways.

She picked Fort Collins for reasons I don't know, but looked so forward to moving out there alone.

She was the widow of this man, Victor Thaddeus, who built their cabin:

I am in Denver and the wall of smoke looking north was like one of those pictures of sandstorms from Africa. It didnt seem to make it all the way to Denver last night but did blanket Boulder....

BUT.... I make this post to make sure everyone is aware of the work of Dane Wigington. He is in YT, and speaks of geoengineering and climate modification. Without understanding these concepts one's view of what happened in CA and what is now happening in northern CO will be lacking....

Thank you all that care and aren't being assholes lol

I've just woke up.

I had alarms set every hour. You know how hard it is to sleep with this on the mind as is?

To the guy that says Colorado is 65% federally owned land, no it isn't. You heard a quip about California and are now running your sucker as if you know everything.

Where this is is mostly privately owned land, save for Rocky Mountain National Park. To the north west, like where the pine gulch fire was, yes, is BLM land, but not here.

And it is liberal anti logging laws that wouldn't allow forest management to get in there and pull dead standing trees. Some dumbass thought that was a good idea.

But Colorado is not what you think. Yes it has a cancerous liberal infection for now, but this state isn't for the weak. Even more than California you've got to be rugged to live here, especially through winter.

Colorado BARELY voted for Hillary. This is a huge voter fraud area. Have you seen the videos of the man in Weld county talking about using guillotines on us if they cannot successfully lie, cheat and steal?

Also the Mullin fire that started in Wyoming blew up huge too. It's at almost 180,000 acres itself.

Combined these two fires are close to 360,000 acres. I hope they do not connect.

We've got a long road ahead. Days of Windy, dry weather and all the leaves are falling.

People living in the area north of Boulder and west of I25 (including Loveland, Ft. Collins and other towns) should prepare to evacuate to areas EAST OF INTERSTATE 25!!!

Wrong.

The Pine Beetle epidemic which caused all of the dead trees went unaddressed by the Obama administration for EIGHT years. His environmentalists kissing administration bent the knee to the environmentalists who were against thinning and forest management. By the time Trump came in, there was so much dead fall that the damage was done and it was too late, and too difficult, to get into areas and clean things out.

Facts.

the key words are, BURNING FOR TWO MONTHS!

Seriously have you seen the way fires are fought by the democrat controlled environmentalists?

EVERY forest fire could be put out in a matter of weeks if the military were called in and given the order, PUT THE FIRE OUT, do what you must do, don't harm people or structures, but put it out NOW!

Environmentalists embedded into the national forest service are the whole problem.

SERIOUSLY, ask any military person in a leadership position if they could put out the fire quickly.

MORE damage is done with this pansy approach to firefighting than by going in and getting the job done.

I agree, not enough controlled burns and that includes private property. Even the so called natives 100's of years ago knew to do controlled burns. The pine beetle and a kind of fungus is killing the trees, out of control and spreading.
