the manager of this planet needs spaceships to have a controlled environment to put humans into while the earth is cleansed by extreme weather/meteors and atomospheric changes.
If by the manager , you mean Jesus , still am unsure why spaceships would be needed when Jesus could literally teleport a boat full of people in the middle of the sea of Galilee , to the shore - instantly.
