It's either the signed receipt by Hunter which Rudy has or it's the email the shop owner received from Hunters lawyer asking for the return of Hunters laptop. Heard Rudy talk about the signed receipt and saw the email from Hunter's lawyer. So, if it wasn't Hunter's laptop, the lawyer would hardly say it was and ask for it's return right? Mystery solved. I also read they have a way of finding out who the laptop was sold to also, so every laptop has an owner assigned to it. Serial number I guess. every Intel CPU has a unique identifier burned in hardware. [ link to community.spiceworks.com (secure)] There's also a hardware ID in the network card. Google records a unique identifier for each device, they probably use the MAC address or possibly an aggregate of several factors. In any event, they can match the laptop to every Google login. .
