If anyone in the family can hunt, get a license and go deer hunting.
I don't know what a deer tag costs in your State but here in Ontario Canuckistan it's about $45 and if you get a deer it's 80-100lbs of meat.

Not to mention the squirrel, rabbit, duck, geese and whatever else you can hunt.
