My 3 aethiest siblings are voting democrat as they always have. The other 5 of us and our spouses are voting republican as we always have as well. My oldest grandchild turned 18 this summer and is proud to be a Trump voter. The only member of my family that I know has switched sides is a liberal niece, the daughter of my liberal brother. She has always gone with what's popular on social media, probably out of the need to fit in and be accepted, until about a week ago. She came out of the closet on facebook to all of her friends and family and announced she was voting for Donald Trump and gave sound reasoning for why she made that decision. Her brother and step brother had already warned friends and family that anyone who backed Trump was dead to them so she actually had something to lose by going public with her decision. I have not heard of one republican switching sides for this election and I believe that many Trump supporters are silent out of fear of backlash.
