I know several people that have been able to start good businesses since COVID, enough income to help their families and stay afloat without having to take the handout for long, if at all. People just do not want to work. Hiring signs up in many buisnesss besides construction too. Lazy people just want a hand out it seems. But if you want to work there are jobs. Tradesmen like plumbers and electricians, sheet metal and painters drywall companies are all looking for workers. And the pay is pretty good too. |

I'm just wondering why the focus seems to be on free government money, rather than getting back on our own two feet and making our OWN economic recovery? As I've mentioned before, the businesses that I see closing, other than in the entertainment sector, are only closing because they CANNOT FIND WORKERS willing to hire on, even with good wages and bonuses. People LITERALLY saying "I'd rather keep getting CERB (Canadian Free Shit money) then make a bit more for working... no thanks!" Just wondering what logic propels the constant questions about checks, rather than about jobs. why would anyone want to work for a business that elects to close up shop when they can't find labor???
