That's exactly the sort of attitude which is killing America, rotting it from the core out. Apathy.

Elections are held at the LOCAL level... even Federal elections are tabulated locally and then assembled state-by-state.

Local officals are not all tied into this great big conspiracy network to defraud the vote, it's just silly paranoia. We DEFINITELY ought to ban electronic voting on a voting district basis, that's just a no brainer. Paper trail, hanging chads or not. A guy like Ron Paul ought to swamp the polls so there's no worry about any ties, that's how you prevent that.
