The FBI subpoena of Hunter Biden’s computer and hard drive came in connection with a money-laundering investigation, according to documents obtained by Fox News.

The 2019 papers were verified by multiple federal law enforcement and government officials who reviewed them, but it’s unclear whether the investigation is directly related to the Democratic presidential nominee’s son.

The documents were signed by FBI Special Agent Joshua Wilson, who did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.

According to multiple officials, and the FBI’s website, “272” is the bureau’s classification for money laundering, while “272D” refers to “Money Laundering, Unknown SUA [Specified Unlawful Activity]—White Collar Crime Program,” according to FBI documents. One government official described “272D” as “transnational or blanket.”

Multiple federal law enforcement officials, as well as two separate government officials, confirmed the authenticity of these documents, which were signed by FBI Special Agent Joshua Wilson.

The laptop has been in FBI hands since December of 2019. They seem to have done nothing. Why should we be getting excited about it now, just because a probe case number was assigned to it so long ago?

That's the thing with the FBI - when they tell you that there is 'nothing to see here', you can bet that they have a full-on investigation opened up; believe me, there is 'something' to this Hunter Biden laptop story and it will eventually get out more so than it already has. It has damaged sleepy Joe more than they are letting on - he may not make it through next week.
