Yeah, pretty much.

The only thing close to a CT about the GD was that some people think they were a .gov Psy-op, which I don't personally believe. But there is a contingent who does think so.

The REAL issue is how the CIA and others DID try to co-opt the peace/anti-war/hippy movement back in the 60's and early 70's, using drugs and infiltration. Now THAT's admitted, but doesn't get much traction.

And the Grateful Dead is a red herring, in my opinion, along those lines of discussion, to distract from the real issues concerning government fomenting and fragmenting of society

He had a video pout accusing Phil of being a murderer and having a tree in his back yard full of child skulls he had raped and killed. Appears to be scrubbed now. Was quite bizarre.

Your last point first... Agreed, it would be pretty easy ('safe', in your words) to cherry-pick a drugged up hippy and lure them away and do horrible things to them. That was my point in the original post

I'm sorry, I just find that too hard to believe. And I've never even heard a whiff of that rumor. I'm not saying it isn't possible, I just think it's highly unlikely and probably untrue.

do you remember where that video was shot? was it outside, with a guy alone talking to the camera?

I'm not suggesting any of it is true, just saying it all fits together quite well if it is.

That sounds correct. Shouldn't be too difficult to identify the individual. I have personal confirmation from a road crew member he was close friends with Phil, and made these accusations and had some kind of a breakdown about the same time.

Oh by the way OP, I forgot to respond to your question of about the black and white limos, no I am not suggesting they represent anything at all.

They would pull in about 2 AM, and a line would form. I assumed they were distributing sheets. However, they could have certainly left with extra passengers as well.

The black and white, IMO, was to identify who was where, on a regular basis.

I just don't think a smart guy (and Phil Lesh is brilliant, from everything I've read) -- even if he was arrogant -- would risk losing everything for making his back yard into some easily-seen Satanic graveyard.

Some people say Phil was the genius of the band, and maybe he was, but Jerry seemed like he had too much animus against the government-military-industrial complex, and I really believe he was a non-violent, passive, music-loving (and drug-loving, and woman-loving) individual.

I'm almost glad all these accusations aren't about Jerry, because I just simply can't believe he was "in" on something as nefarious as all that.

I'm not endorsing any of it, simply providing it because it seemed relevant to your thread.

I don't know any of the band members personally, and want to stress that these things I speak of are nothing more than accusations.

i never ran into anyone i considered dangerous at a dead show but definitely had run ins with people you find on those forensic shows at a couple rainbow gatherings.
