Re: Americans Are Frantically Buying Military Gear Before the Election
The state has a piece of equipment at the end of my road for clearing trees.

It looks like a backhoe, except at the end of the arm there is a huge buzz saw.

Everyday when I get home, I want to take it and put it in my shed in case I need it later.

Can you imagine? I could clear a path.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77326027

those are bad ass and my hat is off to the operators of those machines, they are like artist cutting/clearing around and over the powerlines. There is also a Tree cutting saw that fits a helicopter, another site to see!! California should look in to them, would cut down on the wild fires for sure!
would rather have it & not need it then need it & not have it

I love 511 tactical! I have several pieces I got there, including a 511 Tactical shirt. I buy Christmas presents for my sons there.

As far as the rush to buy guns and military equipment, that's just the people that were not properly prepared before. I think most of us on GLP are perfectly happy with the preps we already have. I'm a little nervous about all the first time gun buyers. Most of them have no safety training at all. I don't care that they can't hit the broad side of a barn, but they could accidentally hit me, or someone I love.
 Quoting: Epic Beard Guy

Yepper - I agree.

Those who are prepared have been prepped for at least 10 years. I have plenty of ammo and plenty of guns. My Dad passed away in 2012 and left me a Hi-Point piece-of-shit 9mm semi-auto. I sold it, but kept all his 9mm rounds. Point is, I might buy a 9mm revolver just because I have so many rounds for it, but I certainly don't need it - so no rush.

I also would like a tactical, bullet-resistant vest. There are some good ones on eBay for under $300. We'll see. I don't live in a city and everywhere I go it's Trump signs, so that would mostly be a "fun" purchase.

Like another poster said above, if it comes to that then there will be gear all over the streets.

And I totally agree about the lack of training from first-time gun buyers/users! I grew up with guns. Had a BB gun until I was about 8 years old. Then I got my first .22 pump rifle. When I was 14 I got my first 30-30 lever action rifle for deer hunting. Then a .243, then a 30.06. Etc.

And to this day, with rifle and pistol safety engrained in my memory, I still make a conscious effort to respect gun safety. Know when your gun is loaded. Know where to point your gun, loaded or not, know how to use the safety, etc.

A perfect example of the lack of training is the Fuck You Coalition, or whatever it's called, who have shot at least two of their own members so far this year.

You can get out of date Kevlar vests a lot cheaper than that. I doubt the "use by" date really makes a difference. Kevlar will not stop a high power rifle round, or magnum hand guns, but it's still better than nothing.

I added to my supply a few 30 round magazines for my Bushmaster. Tragically, I lost all in a boating accident this last weekend...
 Quoting: DuckNCover

Yep, my Bushmaster carbine was lost in a tragic snowmobiling accident last year. Very sad.

I love Bushmaster. I so wish that family group of moose hadn't been spooked by the low-flying tic-tac UFO and darted across my path, causing me to swerve and be launched into the air, doing a full 360 roll, before hitting an ice-covered lake, punching through and being completely submerged. I was forced to hold my breath for over 3 minutes as I swam to the surface and found the hole in the ice.

Fricking UFOs.

Love Bushmaster. Hate Tic-Tac UFOs.

Re: Americans Are Frantically Buying Military Gear Before the Election
I kinda have a feeling how ever it goes ...Im assuming Trump will win...

But if Biden wins ....Our anger will Fester....As we see Biden dismantle ..EVERYTHING...

And of course if Trump wins...Which he SHOULD...I can shit hitting the fan mostly in the cities ....

I keep hearing the cities are ghost towns, like new york...so i think they know and got out...The smart ones at least..

Its going to be Bad either way....

I say stock up ....

Im buying on friday 1000 bucks worth of food ...already have months of food...

But im expecting the damn to break ...

And if Biden gets in...No way they the Dems keep him there...OR HARRIS AS SHE IS NOW TIED TO THIS THING,WITH JOE...OR PETER...

THATS HOW OLD CRAZY ASS NANCY GETS IN.....

I PRAY IM WRONG...

BUT IF YOU CAN ...PLEASE GET OUT OF THE CITIES NOW!!!

A PURGE MIGHT JUST HAPPEN...

The HATE IS SO STRONG...FOR A MAN THAT LOVES HIS COUNTRY ..

Its really weird days...

IF the new reset is going to happen ...its going to happen with a BLOOD BATH...

Remember in movies they always used the line...A STORM IS A COMING...

WE ARE NOW IN THE STORM.....

THE ELITES KNEW LIKE THE QUEEN...ITS WHY SHE BUGGED OUT...AND GAVE THAT WEIRD MESSAGE...

Why so much hate for our fellow man?? in our own country??

I understand being mad and sickened at Bezos that asshole is killing everything...

He is not worth that much money....he really should pay his people better....sure he wouldn't have 200 billion but having 100 billion is good enough you think??

Same goes for walmart, they should get more,no reason all the waltons are super billionaires...

Kinda makes the normal people feel sucky inside....

when the gap is so huge...

Breaks peoples spirits ......

maybe thats the point?

these people must know if this gap between the rich and poor gets any bigger...

The poor out number the rich....The POOR WILL KILL THE RICH..

So they are not all that smart...

Just saying...

The middle class NEEDS TO COME BACK AND QUICK....

Been wearing their pants for a decade, although some of their new civvie designs total shite. Why wear pants without side pockets? I don't get it.

However since this is GLP...

The object of prepping is to have it before you need it.

Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it.

hesright

Yup...because when you need it, it won't be there, or over-priced and hard to find.

Re: Americans Are Frantically Buying Military Gear Before the Election
I think it's wise to buy everything you can conceive of and afford and LEARN HOW TO MAKE a lot of things like ammo. This election is not going to settle anything. If Biden wins, it's an absolute disaster for humanity and half the population will not accept it. I don't know what we'll do but I think we'll be forced into a fight.

If Trump wins, again, half the pop won't accept it and they WILL fight because....it's what they do.

We have to be prepared either way. The Cabal is not going down without a fight and I don't know if Trump, even if elected, has the forces to arrest these people and do what needs to be done. For ex, Joe Biden should have been taken off that stage in handcuffs last night, he should NOT be running for POTUS at all. Nor should Harris who is LITERALLY one of his partners in crime.
 Quoting: Blue State Rebel

Trump will be re-elected.
It takes time and timing to replace 50 years of bad politicians and bureaucrats that believe that corruption is an entitlement/reward for being elected. The corruption is several layers deep and will take a few firings to get to the good guys.
