Maybe it wasn't an iPad. Maybe it was some sort of remote viewer, where his team types up what to say and it digitally goes to the viewing pad so he can look down to see what he should say.

If it was only a folder, Joe would have grabbed it too. The fact that he left it shows that they didn't want Joe to be seen carrying it.

That woman walked too fast for it to be just a folder.
