Eggland's Best sued for raising prices 300% since pandemic

...despite admitting no supply chain disruptions.

Less than 50%:

"Texas Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton alleges that Cal-Maine Foods, who owns Eggland's Best, also listed as one of the defendants in the California suit, raised generic egg prices by 300% even though the pandemic hasn't disrupted its supply chain, according to a report from the Associated Press. Texas is seeking more than $100,000 in damages."

What a joke. Eggs are one of the best sources of protein and Costco and Trader Joes, et al, should ashamed of themselves.

Cal-Maine Foods, who owns the Eggland's Best brand, should be ashamed too.

California is bringing suit as well: "California penal code 396 says it is unlawful for any person, contractor or business to sell food for a price higher than 10% immediately prior to the declaration of a state of emergency."
