Why Republicans are Blocking a $2 Trillion Congressional Virus Stimulus Bill (List)

Just think: Everyone can work 12hr day 7 day wk for 10 yrs and get a bowl of rice once a day. Ya have to go to the city dump and find shoes and dead rats to eat along with some card board(if your lucky) to erect a cozy shelter for yourself.

Student Loans should be dischargable through bankruptcy like business are able to do. Going to college is a business decision.

It would solve a few problems.
Banks are not going to lend to everyone that can fog a mirror or takes basket weaving classes.

It would rid of those useless classes and drive tuition down.

Banning voter ID is in fact, in heroes, which would make us the only country on planet earth that doesn't require an ID to cast a vote.

This bill also allows 501(c)6 to drain the PPP. That's Industry lobbyists main source of funding for superpacs. Basically money for multinational corporations, that was meant for small businesses.

Also in the Heroes bill is COBRA, which shovels money private insurance companies, even though the single payer system Dems love would be about one sixth the cost.

Also in this bill is the elimination of the salt cap deduction, which means the top 1% could write off their state income tax.

Which is interesting, because the whole deal was held up over a lack of state funding.

Thank you for the list, OP. I want to eliminate, consecutively, three zeros and a comma from each of those, that's the funding level I'm comfortable with. If it's not enough, well, I didn't get a pony when I was a kid either.

Trump asked Piglosi for a stand alone stimulus check bill and she refused. Why Trump hasn't brought that up at every rally and in every interview, I don't know. As usual, a missed opportunity.

Pelosi's position is that the money should only go to the people she thinks vote for her. I'm thinking, "Why should ALL Americans have to pay higher taxes so a particular spoilt angry nobody with no business, accounting, or financial sense can get elected?"

I think businesses that fail should go bankrupt. It's good for the employees too. They probably weren't happy for years before the bankruptcy, with frozen salaries, and declining working conditions. When businesses fail, their stock goes to zero. That is an investible opportunity in the finance world. If there's anything left to salvage, the business gets bought out and restructured to be profitable. The people who failed to run the business get something too. Taxpayers are not disturbed. That's how it should be.

The alternative is people build bigger and bigger failing businesses and turning to Congress to pay for them with taxpayer dollars.

The TARP bailout and other bailouts of 2009 are not lawful. The people who took that money stole it.

College is a privilege. It is not required for anything. If the results and behavior of abject idiots in our government, who have advanced degrees, are not evidence of the low value of education in business matters, I don't know what is. We don't owe them a living or a $200k salary.

I should have expressed, "Wear masks if it makes ya feel more secure".

Personally, I choose not to wear one because they are ineffective (scientifically demonstrated for, oh, decades) and, in many cases, dangerous for some. Though, I do live in a red state, which gives greater weight to personal choice more often than not, both currently and historically. I much prefer natural immunity and, well, breathing.

Ya know, from observation, we have an accountibility crisis in the States.

Corporations are not accountable, politicians are not accountable, systems and organizations, criminals, individuals both 'adults' and kids are not accountable. No one is held to account for actions any longer.

But, God forbid I allow my car registration to lapse.
