If you need to be in some building listening to some speech, in order to worship your lord, you are doing something wrong.

Jesus, for example, didn't preach from some specific building, but wandered around with the masses, in a personal up close kind of direct way. Think about that!

You are correct, we don't need a church building to worship and one day the government will mandate that they all be closed. But it is good for believers to gather together for worship. To have a common place to gather. This isn't improper. And people gather strength from fellowshipping with other believers.
