Most police officers will do what is needed to help or protect but when you have liberal scum democrats running your city and are told you will be fired or disciplined if you respond and do the right thing, can you blame them? While my 8 trucks (and growing) may not make or break a stocked shelf, multiple companies will. I have spent 2 days on the phone with other trucking companies (safety), shippers and receivers as we decide the safest way to keep our trucks rolling. Right now Philadelphia is off the list for many of us. We are not willing to risk our drivers, trucks and freight (as well as our insurance coverage and rates) to go into the area. If you want your shelves full (and remember, unless you grow it from your own seeds truckers supply you everything you use) talk to your local leaders. Please don't take this wrong, this is not a threat, this is a plea that we can all get our cities under control. If not, you can bet your next shortages will fall in Philadelphia and anything shipped from the area will not move as well causing shortages in other areas of the country. By other areas I mean wood, steel, pre fab, etc which comes out of the Philadelphia area. This will impact all over the country. I guess in a way this is my warning to my follow stockers. This is a huge issue you need to worry about. (And yes with the election in less than a week there will be civil unrest as well. Which means shortages will be coming. I try to ease fears.
