China: Heaven hammers China with one disaster after another
Three Typhoons Hit Northeast China Where Persecution of Falun Gong Still Runs Rampant

Three typhoons hit northeast China in September 2020, including the provinces of Heilongjiang, Liaoning, and Jilin, within two weeks. The first, Typhoon Bavi, swept through Jixi City in Heilongjiang Province, reaching the Beaufort scale of 12 (highest level, above 70 miles per hour), knocking down trees and ripping off roofs.

Known as mature tropical cyclones, typhoons often strike Southern China and Taiwan. There were no typhoons this year that directly targeted Taiwan, reported Radio France Internationale in early September. Typhoon Bavi, the first major typhoon to strike Northeast China since 1949, was formed near the Philippines, bypassed South Korea and Japan, and caused major damage in North Korea.

“Does a typhoon have eyes and know where it intends to hit?” asked one netizen on social media.

Major Blow to Agriculture
From videos shared by locals on Twitter (banned in China, but accessible through firewall cracking software), it was seen that bridges were destroyed, roads were blocked, and houses were submerged by flooding.

More importantly, since the storm struck at a critical time for agriculture, the wind and heavy flooding leveled crops, which will greatly reduce the harvest of grain, fruits, and vegetables this year.

Typhoon Haishen, the third after Bavi and Maysak, was the first super typhoon this year, with wind speeds reaching 155 miles per hour.

With three typhoons in a row, even successful early crops—such as corn—are hard to harvest, since the harvester cannot enter the soaked land. With the corn crop spoiling in the field, crops to be harvested in autumn are also facing serious uncertainties.

This disaster will likely affect all of China. According to data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, China's Northeast is the country's most important source of soybeans (41% of nationwide production), corn (34%), and japonica rice (30-50%).

The typhoons are in the extreme NE of China and the dam is in the far SW so I don't think do.

I see that the One Star Yuan has been here.

Welcome, One Star. Are you here for your usual education on how the Chinese Communist Party has totally fouled up China's Mandate from Heaven, and bringing these disasters one after another on your fellow citizens?

Did you lose your link to the Quit the CCP website which demonstrates for the world to see how many Chinese citizens have left the Communist Party, being awakened by how destructive it is?

Here's the link, just in case: [link to en.tuidang.org (secure)]

As of right now, 366,474,230 Chinese have made a public gesture, using a pseudonym to protect themselves from the CCP, and resigned from the CCP and all its associated organizations.

You could do the same, One Star Yuan, and rid yourself of all the bad karma and horrible associations with the CCP and its past.

The Chinese Communist Party has committed so so many horrible acts since they came to power in 1949. There is no nation which has not done bad things, no place which is perfect, but the CCP is a world class criminal. The Virus is just the last in a string of atrocities.

There were somewhere between 20 milion and 100 million Chinese killed by the CCP in the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution. You can read about it in Commentary 7 of the 9 Commentaries on the Communist Party ( [link to www.ninecommentaries.com] Their One Child Policy resulted in the deaths of over 400 million children in their own estimation, mostly unborn, but others victims of "post birth abortions". The 20 + year persecution of Falun Gong has resulted in an unknown number of deaths due to torture, murder, forced organ harvesting, and medical experimentation to perfect transplantation drugs.

I would say that Heaven has been most patient with the CCP, but perhaps now the limit to patience has been reached. There are millions of kind hearted Chinese. God help them.

Re: China: Heaven hammers China with one disaster after another
There was quite a bit of news activity about this until the election coverage began to monopolize the press. But it was interesting how a dangerous food shortage in China's future seemed to be taken as a given.

This is an article from Taiwan's Taipei Times:

EDITORIAL: China’s food crisis spells trouble

There are worrying signs that China is on the brink of a major food shortage, which might trigger a strategic contest over food security and push Chinese President Xi Jinping (習近平), already under intense pressure, toward drastic measures, potentially spelling trouble for Taiwan and the rest of the world.

China has encountered a perfect storm of disasters this year. On top of disruption due to the COVID-19 pandemic, torrential rains have caused catastrophic flooding in the Yangtze River basin, China’s largest agricultural region. Floodwaters are estimated to have already destroyed the crops on 6 million hectares of farmland.

The situation has been further compounded by plagues of locusts and fall armyworm infestations in other regions, where fields have been stripped bare, and three huge typhoons last month making landfall in northeastern China.

China is also still recovering from a major outbreak of African swine flu, which last year wiped out 40 percent of its hog population.

Food prices increased 13 percent in July, with pork prices rising by an eye-watering 85 percent, Chinese government data showed. There are reports of farmers hoarding crops, expecting even higher prices.
