The spotlight is on the FBI. They are simply going through the motions to make it look like they're doing something.

If they have been investigating it since 2019, it's a big nothingburger, they were just saving it for future blackmail, and/or there is some seriously corrupt folks in the FBI. If it's the FBI being corrupt, who is going to call them out?? That's the best case scenario here, but not sure how anything changes.
