Project Zero’s technical lead Ben Hawkes said Microsoft plans to issue a patch on November 10. Attackers are not known, their motives are not known, whether or not this has anything to do with the U.S. election (or if the timing is coincidental) is not known. Hmmm... I would bet $$ those are all known. If they are going to tell or not is another story. Well the exploiters know, lol. Or are you suggesting the Google team, Windows, or potentially someone in gov is aware? Gov has hardware backdoors built in that go over the electric lines since the 80's This doesn't answer my question, but yes you're definitely correct in the sense that most hardware is already compromised. Intel inside. |

Extreme outlier would be offline storage. Incontrovertible. |

This exploit is typically used for ransom ware and apparently one patient died few months ago due to these attacks. |

Microsoft has fixed it so everybody has to build their consumer software to be Windows Friendly, etc... Nonsense. Just follow the arch wiki to the letter. An idiot can do it. I use arch BTW. |

Not sure if that has anything to do with this, but there's been this difference I'm detecting. You seem like a bright enough fellow to use Linux. Change is good. |
