My brother and I waited in line from 9:10am to about 10:00am for early voting in Tinley Park, Illinois yesterday. My brother was wearing a "Trump 2020" face mask the whole time. While we were waiting, a car load of people who had stopped by to drop off mail-in ballots sped past our line yelling "f@*k Trump" causing our line to laugh, and one person said "I guess we know who they voted for" After we voted, the...attendee...a 60s ish, black female, told my brother that he was not allowed to wear the 'Trump 2020' face mask My brother said it was the mask he had, so he wore it. She said he should have worn it inside out. No one in the line had said anything about it while we waited for nearly an hour outside, and now all-of-a-sudden it's not okay!? I was a cook county election judge in several elections An election judge can have you tossed for any reason at all They literally have the power to imprison someone By warrant, they have all the powers of a sitting judge in a courtroom But only for one day That said, your complaint means less than nothing to them Sad, but true Also, did you know Preckwinckle is a federal elector? I, too, served as an election judge in IL for several elections. You can't campaign or do anything that indicates support for any candidate within 100 ft of the polling place. That would include masks, shirts, etc. She was right about that. OTOH, we didn't enforce it because it was a big nothing burger to see a guy in a shirt saying stuff about this or that candidate, and we had bigger problems to deal with. So in that way, she's a picky little bitch. But your complaint will go nowhere.
