So, what is Bulgaria like today? - It is all the same imo :) like any other "poor" East European ex-communist country.

Is it more peaceful than elsewhere?/What is politics like in Bulgaria today, any riots? - For now all is normal, so OK. We have gypsies /romani people/ mostly low lives from India and they are worse then poor negros in USA. Most of them have a lot of kids, some are inbred so have low IQ and most of them have very low or non educations and mostly do illegal activities. In some small villages, cities or parts of the big cities they are 100% of population and Bulgars do not go there. In some years ahead gypsies and the normal Aryan Bulgar people will have big clashes, because some young people went abroad and stayed there, there is very big negative birth rate of us and we do not like criminal activities.

I think that Bulgars are not Eastern Slavs, they are just mix of old Bulgars, Thracians and Eastern Slavs. Some of them moved after the great flood and reunited after some thousand years.
