Honestly, this is the most important question I would have for a candidate. Not that I can vote in American elections, but if I could. Quoting: Larence I've been reading history of American politics and was amazed to learn that in 1832 there was an Anti Freemasonry party that operated for several years. Fascinating stuff. It would be awesome if a new party with the same stance started up again. [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] The Anti-Masonic Party, also known as the Anti-Masonic Movement, was the first third party in the United States.[6] It strongly opposed Freemasonry as a single-issue party and later aspired to become a major party by expanding its platform to take positions on other issues. After emerging as a political force in the late 1820s, most of the Anti-Masonic Party's members joined the Whig Party in the 1830s and the party disappeared after 1838. The party was founded in the aftermath of the disappearance of William Morgan, a former Mason who had ultimately become a prominent critic of the Masonic organization. Many believed that the Masons had murdered Morgan for speaking out against Masonry and subsequently many churches and other groups condemned Masonry. As many Masons were prominent businessmen and politicians, the backlash against the Masons was also a form of anti-elitism. The Anti-Masons felt there was a deep threat to American republicanism posed by a secret elite group that was trying to take control of the government. Furthermore there was a strong fear that it was hostile to Christianity. Mass opposition to Masonry eventually coalesced into a political party. Before and during the presidency of John Quincy Adams, there was a period of political realignment. The Anti-Masons emerged as an important third-party alternative to Andrew Jackson's Democrats and Adams's National Republicans. In New York, the Anti-Masons supplanted the National Republicans as the primary opposition to the Democrats. How can an idiot like trump be anything but an idiot. I hope this helps. Peace. |

Photograph by Brent Stirton/Getty Images. By Alex Kotch President Donald Trump’s pick to help lead a key financial regulatory agency is married to the top lobbyist for Monsanto—a company over which she will have oversight—and until last year did lobbying work for an industry she will also oversee, federal documents show. The nominee, Dawn DeBerry Stump, earlier worked for one of the key architects of a 2000 law that deregulated risky Wall Street speculation that contributed to the 2008 financial crisis. Stump was nominated last year to sit on the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), which was created to regulate trading of commodities such as wheat and corn—but now includes futures contracts for other commodities and financial instruments such as swaps. Some analysts worry that insufficient financial regulation could cause another crisis, as student loan, auto loan, and credit card debt have reached staggering heights. Now, after almost a year, the Senate is expected to move on confirming Stump’s nomination in the near future. Direct Lines From Monsanto to the CFTC Stump’s husband, Jeremy Stump, is vice president of North America government affairs for Monsanto, the giant agriculture multinational now being acquired by Bayer of Switzerland. In 2017’s fourth quarter, the most recent for which filings are available, he lobbied Congress and the U.S. Department of Agriculture for Monsanto on unspecified “agribusiness transaction issues” and other matters. Monsanto spent more money than any other agriculture business lobbying the federal government in 2017, according to data compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics. Jeremy Stump came to Monsanto after a seven-year stint at the USDA, which also oversees agriculture businesses. Dawn Stump’s most recent financial disclosure filing for her CFTC nomination shows that her husband owns as much as $350,000 worth of Monsanto stock as well as significant stock options and a Monsanto retirement account and pension. wmMmw |

User ID: 11397221 United States 11/23/2020 10:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Trump is a Freemason. Just look at any picture of him shaking hands with another leader of basically any country. Quoting: LobsterJ Trump is also a Knight of Malta, and I doubt it's a coincidence that Islamic and "Islamic" terrorist attacks on the US have been way down since he got elected. Even if he was a Freemason what is wrong with that you do know that the United States was not founded by christians but instead of Freemasons who were trying to escape the Christian church and Vatican The second part of your sentence is more than a bit of an exaggeration of the late 1700s world view. But I didn't say that there was anything wrong with that and I do support Trump as you'd see if you looked. The Freemasons are like any faction that is both old and widespread. They have been the good guys at some places in some times, and they have been the bad guys at some places in some times, and probably everything in between as well. By itself it doesn't say much about a person anymore. I definitely know one in the family that I think is a scumbag now but I wouldn't judge them all by him. I think a Navy Uncle was probably one as well and he was a good guy to put it mildly, excellent really. Last Edited by LobsterJ on 11/23/2020 10:03 PM |
