Experiences, please if you have had the lapband surgery.
What was it like afterwards and did you lose a lot of weight from having it?

I saw the Lapp Band perform live in Rovaniemi. Does that count?

Re: Anyone had Lap-band Surgery?
No, but I have considered Gap Band Surgery.

Every time I would eat, my stomach would "Burn rubber" on me plus once my Gap Band was installed I would have to get up "early in the morning" and that would really "Drop a bomb on me"

So I opted out. :)

go to the ObesityHelp forums. There are a lot of people there who have had that experience. After reading peoples stories, I don't think I would ever have it.

mother in law had it - she lost a hundred and a half and gained a BUNCH of it back over two or so years. basically - do it if you life is in danger but you really need to figure out why the overeating is taking place so you can stop it.

Re: Anyone had Lap-band Surgery?
My ex husband had it and so far has lost 80lbs. He looks and feels wonderful.

There could be complications of course and you really need to look at your addiction to food.

My ex changed his lifestyle completely.

Funny I used to own a healthfood store and he made fun of me .... big part of the reason I left.

We are still friends and he now tells me I was right.

Re: Anyone had Lap-band Surgery?
I know of an acquaintance that did this...she lost considerable weight!

Honestly....without surgery....simply look at your fist when ever you sit down to eat...and remember, that's ALL the food you need in one sitting...

it's better to eat 5 times a day (no more than the size of your fist) than 3 times a day of huge plate fulls of food!
anything after 'but' is bullshit!
