ok, I can accept this is probably the case. But being cut off from source is precisely what makes me question our "actual" creator. How could "he" (for lack of a better term) - how could he let this happen? If he is the ultimate source then nothing should be "bigger" than him. i.e. there should be no problem he cannot be sovereign over and solve - or else there is something larger than himself - if only ignorance of himself. In that case, all reality at all levels is an out of control shit show and nothing is holy in any realm whatsoever

However, let me posit a different perspective.
Why do we kill a fly, a bee, a mosquito, or a spider with absolutely ZERO concern? Why do we consume steak, burgers, bacon, ham, chicken, and turkey, with ZERO concern for the animal?
Right or wrong, the answer is that we regard these creatures as
lower forms of life. We consider ourselves vastly superior to them because we ARE vastly superior to them.
I'm not saying it's right or that it's justified. I'm simply stating facts, albeit uncomfortable facts.
In like manner, there are beings that are so vastly beyond us humans, that we are to them as an amoeba is to us. We are nothing. We are lower forms of life.
So who are WE that those superior beings should give a rat's ass about US? After all, we routinely disregard what we consider to be lower forms of life, so why should we not be regarded in like manner by those far beyond us?
Who are WE that we are deserving of better?
