How is it not any better than your “pole-shift & plasma-event-tardism”?

Don’t get me wrong, I believe ‘pole shifts’ could happen (an interesting take on this found in the following link):

And also that a plasma-event could happen (although a few predictions on when it supposedly should have happened, have failed)....

In fact the Buddhadharma says that ‘plasma-events’ always happen, but are called kalpa-ending conflagrations, in Abhidharma and so on.

At this point, I think I can say that I’d welcome one any day now....

Anyway, what makes you so sure of your said beliefs; yet write an entire spiritual doctrine off (an non-tirthika one no less) as “tardism”?
