I mean, we didn’t reach our conclusions on the flip of a switch. Some of us actually did research, thought about what we read, and then made a decision that we just read a whole bunch of bs. And then if you debate with them, their ego propels them forward, demanding that YOU address every single lie that THEY hold dear. It’s stupid. And then if you stop answering them, they say “look we got you!” No, we’re just done wasting time on you dude. Beautifully stated! You are 100% correct, sir! I think we should merge both of our posts into one, and save it as a standard reply to anyone that seems to think we haven't considered alternative views. . How's this...I'm slightly revising it to be addressed directly to someone rather than in the third person: We didn’t reach our conclusions on the flip of a switch. What you don't realize is that many of us have already studied Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, Jud*ism, Taoism, Hermeticism, New Age and assorted metaphysical beliefs. We actually researched those belief systems and philosophies, we carefully considered and thought deeply about what we read, even believing as you do now. But we didn't stop there. As we furthered our research and studies and increased our Awareness and Understanding, we came to realize we were mistaken in those beliefs, so we made a decision to reject them.
Whereas, you have learned of ONE belief system and you have clung to its tenets, falsely assuming the rest of us have not already considered (and subsequently rejected) those schools of thought.
When we debate your beliefs, your Ego propels you forward, demanding that WE address every single conviction that you hold dear. It’s stupid. And then if we stop answering you, you exclaim, “Look! We got you! You're unable to respond!”
No. That's a false assumption. The final truth is that we're just DONE wasting valuable time and energy on you.
