Maybe this did start out as a game, but it's been perverted by "something" into a loosh farm. Now it's up to us to seek the truth and escape, but if we can't escape after death we need to empower ourselves so we can help free others from the death trap. As Rorschach says in Watchmen "I'm not locked in here with you.. you're locked in here with me". They feed on our suffering we have the power to make them suffer too.
