Both of my SILs work in health care, miles apart, and both got it.

For them, it was just a head cold. One of them lost their sense of taste for about a week. Other than that, they were fine. No fevers or chest cough.

Both recovered well before their 2-week quarantines were over, so they got nice stay-cations while they felt perfectly fine.

Re: Has anyone on here had or been diagnosed as having covid?
yes, Feb, worst body aches, nearly falling asleep while driving - extreme drowsiness! could barely breath, would wake at night gasping for air.

weirdest feeling I ever felt - I am older and recognized colds and flu. This was not like either of those.

Worst was for about 3 days - lungs still not back to normal, body aches never really went away. I probably have other long term symptoms but I just ignore them.

Similar here, I feel like I never had the virus, but I identify as having covid-19 antibodies.

Since September, one person at my workplace has tested positive. Other than that, a golfing buddy of my boss's father supposedly tested positive.

I know around 10 or so people who have been tested and all them were negative.

Elon Musk proved last week that these tests are complete and utter BS.

Outbreak in the choir in my sister's church. One family member of a choir member dead, one member is critical. Other family member of a choir member critical. Multiple people in the church had it, including the pastor and his family. It's a mega church in Florida. My sister had stopped singing because she's high risk so she doesn't have anything.

Some of my neighbors have and they basically had the sniffles and stayed at home. I think any cold or flu at this point is being classified as COVID. The testing and media hype is so fake you can't believe anything.

This thing is supposedly ravaging the country and I still don't know one single person who has been specifically medicated or hospitalized for it. They just tell you to quarantine yourself and take OTC cold relief medications (because that is fundamentally what it is).

I had a sore throat for a few days. Dry coughed and sneezed a few times. No temp or loss of appetite. It felt like I was trying to come down with a cold. Knew I had it for sure when I lost all sense of taste and smell. It's been three months since I had it and I only have about 40% of taste and smell back. Real bummer when you can't taste a friggen thing!

My pastor, the choir director, and a few other locals had it here in coastal Texas.

Both were down for weeks.

Currently have a lady friend and her Mother in NY state that have it.

Of these two, both have taken HCQ and are recovering just fine.

Re: Has anyone on here had or been diagnosed as having covid?
Felt a little sick for two days, then felt fine except for no sense of smell or taste for nearly a month. It was surreal, walking around without knowing what my surroundings smelled like and eating just to fill my belly w/o savoring the taste. Felt perfectly healthy otherwise, not like the flu at all. This was back in April

Know several people in Nebraska that tested positive for covid. Most just have loss of sense of taste and smell. Some had a stuffy nose. No big deal. My neighbor had all the symptoms and tested negative. But he almost died was so sick , finally went to emergency room. Had severe pneumonia, spent a week in hospital. He's okay now. I think it was covid, just miss tested.

Re: Has anyone on here had or been diagnosed as having covid?
My adult daughter has lived with me since June after loosing her job due to the corona.
She lost smell and taste a couple months ago, along with other very mild symptoms, in line with standard COVID symptoms. For her, smell taste didn’t return for over 2 weeks.
Several days after her first symptoms, I had same. My taste and smell gone only about 4 days. It was odd how quickly that particular symptom developed for me. Ate breakfast... no issues. By lunchtime, completely gone.
Both of us, of course, stayed at home in self-quarantine until 100% well.

We are both feeling great now.
Just furious about the new lockdown rules!

Currently dealing with.

Like a bad, dry head cold.

Very stuffy. No drainage. That maybe good - to keep it out of chest and lungs.

Taking lots of Vit D and Zinc.

Re: Has anyone on here had or been diagnosed as having covid?
I had it in early April, but at that point only certain people were candidates for the test. Started with a tickle in my throat....early the next morning I woke up with body aches and fever. I lost sense of taste and smell, but only ran fever for 2 days. The worst part of it was the constant headache. I would compare it to a mild case of the flu. Was going to go visit my grandmother mid May and decided to see if I had the antibodies for it to verify if I had it. I tested positive for the antibodies and then they told me that it was recommended I do the nose swab. They swabbed both nostrils but made my nose bleed with the first nostril. That ended up contaminating the test, so it came back positive and then I had to go back in to quarantine, retest a few days later, wait for results and then I was able to come back out of quarantine.

I had it about 3 weeks ago. A very bad flu for me. Had all the symptoms you read about but the worst if it was feeling very nauseated for over a week. I didn’t need to be hospitalized. Neither did my fiancé or his 18 year old. My 11 year old had no symptoms other than a bad headache one night. I don’t want it again!!

A fucking cold or a fucking mild flu does just that. I could never taste my food when I was sick ... It's because your fucking nose is stuffed, which is kindergartener knowledge ... If we didn't like something in the cafeteria we pinched our noses and ate it anyway ...

PEOPLE ARE FUCKING IMBECILES.

How can you call someone an imbecile when you are the one being an imbecile? It's kind of ridiculous, right?

Covid is not a cold or flu. It does not give you stuffed nose. The lose of taste is not from your nose being stuffed up, it's a neurological loss of smell regardless of how congested or any impact to the sinuses.

I believe it's most likely caused by a zinc deficiency as the body fights the virus. Zinc deficiency can cause loss of smell/taste.

Re: Has anyone on here had or been diagnosed as having covid?
My sister is a 4th grade teacher (24 years) and tested positive for Covid yesterday. She says no smell or taste. She went into detail on no taste, nothing at all. Nothing. She has never experienced this. She gets sinus infections nearly every spring but she says this is not anything that has ever happened.

I had the flu last Oct and didn’t totally lose taste and I believe my sister when she says NO TASTE or SMELL.
