If this is confirmed, Biden's lead just went down to less than 3000 votes, and we've only heard from 4 of Georgia's 159 counties.

Just to be clear, this error would have added those 9,626 erroneous votes to Biden's vote total, but correcting the error doesn't add any votes to Trump's vote total.

It would have been padding Biden's lead, so Trump doesn't gain votes from this error like he did with the others

Exactly, which makes it worse... It's not a catch of the initial fraud but a new attempt at fraud in the recount to help Biden maintain the lead... This now calls into question the legitimacy of the recount.

So does Biden lose 10,000 votes? Or was it counted properly the first time and this fraud was intended to add votes to Biden during the recount? Seems to me Biden will be losing about 10,000 votes, no?
