WHOA: Nearly A Third Of Democrats Believe The Election Was Stolen From Trump

The numbers I've seen that believe this is a fraud - which it is, of course - are 33% or so of Democrats, 75% or so of Repubs, and 50% or so of Independents.

All together....that is a SIZEABLE number of American voters - probably a majority.

I took a peek at the info from Rasmussen, and here are the most interesting stats:

“Sixty-one percent (61%) of Republicans say it’s Very Likely the Democrats stole the election, but just as many Democrats (61%) say it’s Not At All Likely. Among unaffiliateds, 29% feel it’s a stolen election; 45% do not.”

The above quote is how the “nearly a third” from the thread title was derived. It is assumed, possibly incorrectly, that the remaining 29% (100 minus 61) of Democrats believe the election was stolen. One problem with this stat is there could be people surveyed who said they didn’t know. Another issue is that it was not mentioned whether or not there were somewhat likely or somewhat unlikely categories, which you might expect instead of using just the two extremes, very likely and not at all likely. The last sentence about unaffiliateds seems to support that there were other categories not discussed.

Moving on...

47% think the election was stolen, and yet 61% think Trump should concede.

What???

The above refers to “all voters”.

And yet...

“The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 61% of Likely U.S. Voters think Trump should concede the presidential election to Democrat Joe Biden. Just 33% disagree.”

The above refers to “likely voters”.

I couldn’t tell from the article what the exact difference is between “all” and “likely” voters. I don’t see how “likely” could apply since these are post-election stats.

Anyway, I have a relative (Trump voter) who thinks the election was stolen by the Democrats but even so, he believes Trump should concede to avoid all the possible chaos. It looks like he is not the only one. Unbelievable, right?
