Around my area there are lots of "apply for a job", "hiring", and "online applications available for a job" signs in most businesses. If people are knowing their benefits are going to run out on Dec. 26 then now is the time for them to secure a financial stream of income. It is not incumbent for the government to provide them with money if they are too lazy to get a job. Cut them off fast and hard.

I'm tired of placating the useless eaters who only want to play X-box games all day. Either they figure life out or they can STARVE!!!

Enough with the hand outs. Get out there and provide for yourself or go hungry.

We sell consumable tools on eBay that we produce at our shop. For the past cou0ke months i kept getting an alert that I had to sign up for this new managed payments program or our listings would not active.

Long story short is it bypasses paypal, they take the eBay seller fees upfront, and takes 3-5 days for the money to be released into our bank acct.

Meh, I was in that boat. Because seriously when you were clearing about 15% more in unemployment than you did working it was just a financial decision. Once it started drying up though I did something really radical. I went a got a job. It's not really a big deal. I say let them starve. It's a great motivator.

I don’t know what it’s like in other states but where I live the pua payment is like 120 a week. How a person with a family who got laid off is spose to survive off this I have no idea . Thank God I’m single .

Not really-- I was born incredibly poor to two teenagers. My Mom was a high school dropout. My parents divorced when I was 6. My Mom had no skills and married one bad guy after another so that we would have just the basics -- and sometimes not even the basics.

I was blessed with an above-average IQ-- and tested out of middle school and my freshman year in 4th grade. My parents were too naive to realize the potential I had. In addition, my Mom moved once a year, so I was in a different state and different school for the last six years of my education. This caused my education during that time to be inconsistent.

In short, I was not groomed to be anything. I was given incredible intellect but was never given a scholarship to college because I was growing up during affirmative action, and the concept of a mind is a terrible thing to waste. ( funny, eh?)

I had motivation, IQ, limitless vision, a positive outlook, and I wanted more than anything to improve my life and get out of my circumstances.

Am I a nurse, doctor, a social worker? One would think with the brain I had I would have been. Did I go to college? I mean, after all, hard work is the answer according to you, and goodness knows I worked hard.

No, I just was grateful I finally got out of my circumstances.

And today, I am cleaning homes for $32.00 bucks an hour. Some in my old neighborhood would say I made it.

I just think that I should have been given a chance-- imagine the wonderful things I could have done with the education that was handed to many people --

Who think nothing of it. -- heck some don't even use it or learned nothing in that time.

Life is not about what you do with the opportunities you are given-

It's what you become with or without them.

Oh, and by the way, it's inadequate.-- you could use some spell check in your life.


I will say this, the people that are unemployed right now, are going to the place I was as a child. They are in my prayers.
