The last thing a sick person should do is smother themselves. A sick person needs as much fresh air and sunlight as he can get.

One question: How could you know you are not sick? You might have it without symptoms, spreading it to the community. But I guess it is too much too ask the little snowflakes for a bit thoughtfulness. Changing a little bit in your life and your crying all over.

I live in a country without so much restrictions and with a much lower death rate. This is possible because we don't have so many unenducated selfish assholes in our country.

The problem is that you can have it and not actually be sick. This isn't about making someone feel better - it's about the fact that most people that get COVID don't even know it, or their symptoms are very mild.

Because you can spread it without having any idea you've got it in the first place, the mask is worn to keep your COVID from spewing halfway across the room with every breath, yell, or cough.

And honestly, if you're inside a room with others, mask or not, and the ventilation in that room sucks, it won't matter if you're wearing a cloth or surgical mask anyway because they aren't going to keep the virus from being inhaled.

They should have pushed an increase in N95 production and pushed those things into our schools, workplaces, etc. Without an N95, you're rolling the dice when you go anywhere and plan to be inside for longer than 10 minutes.

Maybe your version of freedom is different from my own but I don't see a bunch of you guys en masse screaming about the clothes you're forced to wear.

When the government says you aren't allowed to protest, aren't allowed to complain about the government, aren't allowed to plead the 5th, or are able to be searched without a warrant and without probable cause, then let's talk.

None of that is happening here. We're in the middle of a pandemic that killed 250k+ of your fellow countrymen and you're bitching about a mask?
