If you don't mind me asking...? just what are hospitals doing for gallstones these days? Is your wife OK and what did they prescribe?
Quoting: Ahmyo right now she is medicated for it with anti-nausea and low dose pain meds. She has to go on low fat low carb diet (south beach) and consult a GI. If diet doesn't alleviate it surgery may be necessary..It is done via arthroscopy..3 small incsions..in and out in 5 hrs or so..4-5 day recovery. We will see and thanks Quoting: diverdan01 Hi, thanks for the update. Several of my family members had their gall bladder removed, it was relatively simple procedure due to the arthroscopic tools. Quoting: JStav She needs to eat low FAT. Eating fatty foods with gallstones will set off attacks.
