I have cancelled it. My dad passed away a few months ago and as far as I'm concerned, the holidays can come and go. His birthday is New Years Day so basically I just want to make it until the 2nd. If I could sleep through it, I would... and actually I might. My son is 25 and kind of a Xmas kinda guy but I told him not this year. No turkey, no tree although I will make a ham for a ham and bean soup. With everything else going on, I just want the holidays to be over with. I know my dad would never want me to be so sad but I just can't help it. Maybe next year will be better but with the political environment as it is, I have doubts....  These are the times that tries one self. If not for your son, then who else for? Satan delights in division of family. Overcome this and bring in family. Awww...this makes me really sad for you, and your son. I can’t imagine losing my Mom & Stepdad so I can’t begin to imagine how you feel. I’m so sorry though and I hope it gets better. It’s been such a shitty year for everyone. Maybe have your son put up the tree so you don’t have to. I put mine up last week (I usually don’t put anything up anymore) but I needed some happy cheer around here. What would your Dad want you to do? Whatever that is, try your best if you can, for him and maybe it will make you a little less sad. Hugs
