The US Election: A Voice of Encouragement

Like many people throughout the world, I am a watcher of all things American. And like that Serbian national who circulated a moving video about the significance of this ongoing American election [ [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] I too find myself powerfully in love with the American system of government despite the fact that I can only but admire it and yearn for it from afar.
The American Constitution is the single most enlightened and profound piece of political thinking the world has seen, and it represents a breath-taking vision of human nobility and moral aspiration based on enshrining fundamental individual freedoms in a system of laws which maximizes the potential for personal and social fulfilment.

It is that magnificent.

And the fight for its survival, for the survival of the vision that it enshrines, is what is it at stake in this election. And not just for America, but for the entire world. For the rest of the world has long since caved in to the collectivist impulse to define and regulate people in accordance with the groups –race, religion, class and sex, whatever – they belong to. The full weight of all that history bears down on all of us non-Americans, trapping us all in a system of thought whereby the rights of the individual invariably take a back seat to the demands of the collective. And this is the vision which the Bidens and the Obamas and the Pelosis of the world want to sell you. It is the vision of the globalists. It is the degraded vision of the global left which rejoices in the triumph of the communal over the individual, which celebrates conformity with the herd at the expense of the individual, which denies individual merit in favor of group rewards.

It is only America which in the very core of its founding stands athwart this luckily still benign (for the time being at least) but dangerous totalitarian impulse.

And that is why all that made America great needs to be unleashed RIGHT NOW so as to save America and that magnificent vision of human freedom that America represents.

This vision in fact is THE KRAKEN.
This is what America’s greatness consists in. It is the non-negotiable insistence on individual freedoms and rights and absolute equality before the law, which gives no favor to celebrity status or race or creed or sex, but insists on individual merit and the freedom as well as responsibility to own up to your own life and the choices you make.

This is the KRAKEN that needs to be unleashed.

The KRAKEN in fact is your own moral integrity, the fundamental goodness of which is assumed by the Constitution. But it can only be nourished by the freedoms you have and the rights you exercise in its name.
Please fight.
So much more than America depends on it.
The very idea of freedom hangs in the balance.
