I really wish corruption in federal, local, and state officials did not exist, but as long as backdoor money is easy and penalties are anything short of quick death without twenty years of appeals, I fear we will forever be mired in evil taking the easy money and lifestyle of lifelong "public service."

Dang, I only used 53 words in my opening sentence suggesting to me that in my older age I have slipped into some measure of the complacency that modern education admires and rewards with participation presents for the mere presence in class, suggesting that perhaps that contributes to the political decline of myself as a citizen and the politicians as "servants".
