The Irish are a pretty sad leftist, progressive, globalist bunch in general these days. They are also almost wetting themselves with glee at the prospect of Oirish Joe in the Whitehouse as they assume he will not do a fair trade deal with the UK post brexit, will push for a United Ireland and will favour the EU and the rest of the globalists. And they’re probably right.
