That particular flu epidemic appears to have been an attack on the countries NOT bled dry by the fighting in Europe.

The spanish flu started in two different locations on the globe on the same day back in 1918.
Mysterious considering there was no global airtraffic back then.
Started in USa city and somewhere in africa both on exact same day.
