Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The global order, who they are, what they believe and Trump's relationship with them Recorded on October 9, 2018 It is widely believed in the West that the United States should spread liberal democracy across the world, foster an open international economy, and build institutions. This policy of remaking the world in America's image is supposed to protect human rights, promote peace, and make the world safe for democracy. John Mearsheimer argues in book "The Great Delusion" however that liberal hegemony, the foreign policy pursued by the United States since the Cold War ended, is doomed to fail, and for Washington to adopt a more restrained foreign policy based on a sound understanding of how nationalism and realism constrain great powers abroad. In his poem Human Pride, Marx admits that his aim is not to improve the world, reform or revolutionize it, but simply to ruin it and enjoy it being ruined: With disdain I will throw my gauntlet full in the face of the world, And see the collapse of this pygmy giant whose fall will not stifle my ardor. Then will I wander godlike and victorious through the ruins of the world And, giving my words an active force, I will feel equal to the Creator. “Looking for consciousness in the brain is like looking in the radio for the announcer.”

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79678477 Not all of them but that internationalist, interventionist and aggressive political philosophy. Same shit as The Project for a New American Century and the "realm" is akin to the territories controlled by the British Empire.
