BRIEF
User ID: 79662918 United States 11/24/2020 11:38 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The lower brain is for regulation body functions, but the Prefrontal lobes, where thinking takes place has many times the mass, as it is folded up to fit inside the skull, otherwise the surface area would exceed its volume!! Last Edited by BRIEF on 11/24/2020 11:38 AM I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked. |

BRIEF
User ID: 79662918 United States 11/24/2020 11:45 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There is something to be gained by meditation, or quietening the mind...Just as allergies are the bodies overreaction to common molds and fungus, anxiety is the symptom of overthinking... I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked. |

I believe it neglects a huge metaphysical aspect of life which is responsible for our feelings of anxiety and while I do agree that we do too much thinking these days rather than feeling, our brain is the area for thinking. Our hearts and our guts are the brains responsible for feeling. |

I don’t think the title matches the article. But I posit this is done deliberately to create a sort of cognitive dissonance, in order to program your mind to accept the title “your brain is not for thinking.” A lot of New York Times articles are written this way. Create confusion so you are more suggestable. An appropriate title for this writing could be “The brains role in overthinking” or something. “Your brain is not for thinking” is a judgement against reality not fact. Like Brief said, about the temporal lobes, which they left out entirely or the metaphysical as someone else stated. They want you to participate in their own denial of you. Doom is not dead. |
